New players
Our next men’s and women’s league and mixed hockey seasons begin in late September 2025, with pre-season beginning in August. From May until end of July, we run mixed social summer hockey. Please fill in the form below if you’re interested in joining us for either mixed or league hockey!
Wanderers is one of the larger clubs in London with 7 women’s teams, 6 men’s teams and 3 mixed teams!
All Saturday teams are competitive but friendly, playing in the London Leagues from Premier Division to Division 4.
We are lucky to call Battersea Park and Kennington Park our home pitches. We have weekly training slots per team (at Battersea Park) and then home fixtures spread across the two parks. Great and easily accessible pitches!
If you are interested in playing hockey with the Wanderers this summer or next season, please complete the form below.
We have our annual club trials day booked for Saturday 2nd August 2025 (12-2pm) in Battersea Park. We have both pitches booked, so will have mens on one pitch and women’s on the other. We’ll the head to the pub afterwards for a chance to cool down!
You can also register your interest for mixed hockey, which is open to join all year. This is a great way to get involved and enjoy fun Sunday afternoon games (a mix of Battersea and Kennington Parks).
We look forward to hearing from you and hopefully we’ll see you on the pitch in the future!
Fees
2025/26 Fees
We pride ourselves in keeping costs as low as possible. There are two general costs for league players: an annual membership fees (covering all club membership, training, summer evening hockey) and match fees.
Annual membership fees for 2025-26 are £230, with concessional membership fees (for goalkeepers, full-time students and those in unemployment) being £145. Membership fees are to be paid in one or two tranches, with full amounts paid by the end of October 2025.
Match fees are managed locally within teams, and will be approximately £6 for each match you play. These are collected at the end of each half of the season.
Mixed hockey doesn’t require a membership (though most mixed players are also members) and just involves a match fee (currently £7) being paid per game you play.
