TEAMS: LADIES 1A XI
The 1as are the ladies who choose not to play for the 1s. As the name suggests we are a class A act whose performance on pitch is 'remarkable' and would be wasted in high level hockey. Our skills are not limited to the pitch and the laydeez of the 1As have been known to double as wasps, elegant fairies and, back in the day, French Tarts of Battersea, in order to prove our worth.
We are a formidable force on the field (particularly if feeling coordinated, not hung over, and we get it together and score the odd goal) and we are led by the mighty Harrison, whose leadership and mental prowess means that we are never quite sure who is supposed to be playing.This season team spirit is particularly high and we aim to jostle for a fine league position, as well as for prime position at the bar.
