LATEST MATCH REPORT: MENS 1ST XI
Wanderers 2 Hamble 3: 24/02/07

Saturday was a little bit of a disappointing performance all round.
For all our turning up early, not being hung over, getting the banter out of the way first and generally being up for the game, we turned in a below average performance.
As seems to be the norm over the last few games we just didn't seem to have the desire to win on Saturday. Hamble took some of their chances and scored twice in open play, only some truly rubbish choices by their forwards did they not have more chances on goal. A low point for the author came when he was sent off and gave away a flick leading to their third goal. All I'll say on the matter is, he fouled me first!
However the last 10 mins were outstanding. We played great hockey, moving the ball around fast, transferring from side to side through the pivot man, no one holding the ball for too long and getting tackled. It was great hockey dominating the pitch from the defence up to the forwards, playing hockey as 11 men should. The next few games are going to be crucial and if we're going to win, we are going to have to play with the same want as we did for those last 10 mins but for the next 140 mins. Lets
