Relegation champions!!

An early start in Chiswick saw the Wanderers 3s travelling from all corners of London by car, train, bus, bike, scooter...and even foot. Expectations and nerves were riding high – a win: league survival, and a loss: relegation wilderness.

After some initial bumpy play acclimatising to the water-base, the Wanderers game calmed down to some instinctive, silky passing. The three resounding whacks to the back of the oppo goal signalled to Richmond that Wanderers were coming out fighting. Tasha also finished off some neat play with a cheeky chip from the side of the goal. Finally, special mention goes to Mary and Bex for their outstanding contribution.
 
In the end, the oppo crumbled when pitted against such determination. A well-deserved relegation-saving win from Wanderers, a somewhat ‘late blooming’ team with a promising 2007/8 season ahead. All credit to Capt’ns Siobhan and Danni.
